Trust and Security
Who we are, and why you can verify it.
1. Who we are
KeyHaven is a trading name of Key Haven Crypto Recovery, a company registered in Texas, United States. We are not anonymous. Our legal registration is public record and can be checked independently against the company register for our jurisdiction.
Legal entity: Key Haven Crypto Recovery
Jurisdiction: Texas, United States
Contact email: [email protected]
We are a specialist professional services firm. Recovery work is performed by technical staff with verifiable backgrounds in cryptography and digital forensics. We do not outsource recovery work to anonymous contractors. The firm and its principals can be checked against public professional records.
2. How we handle your data and keys
What we collect and when
At the intake stage, before any case is accepted, we collect only what you voluntarily provide through the intake form: your name, contact email, a description of your access problem, and an approximate value range. We do not ask for wallet files, seed phrase fragments, or any technical material at this stage. The intake form gives us enough to assess whether your situation falls within our scope.
If a case proceeds to assessment, we ask for the specific material needed for that case: typically an encrypted wallet file, partial phrase information, or device details. This transfer happens through an encrypted channel we specify in writing, not through the intake form or email.
Encryption in transit and at rest
All communications with KeyHaven are transmitted over TLS. Case materials submitted during the assessment phase are encrypted at rest using AES-256. Access to case data is restricted to the staff member directly assigned to the engagement. We do not store case materials on shared or public-facing infrastructure.
Seed phrases and private keys
We never ask for a complete, working seed phrase or private key at any stage of engagement. Our recovery methods are designed to work with partial or damaged information. A complete working phrase means you already have access; if someone claiming to represent KeyHaven asks for your complete phrase, they are attempting to steal your funds.
During the recovery phase, we may work with partial phrase fragments or damaged files. This material is handled under strict confidentiality, stored encrypted, and never shared outside the engagement team.
Data destruction
When a case closes, whether by successful recovery, unsuccessful outcome, or client withdrawal, all case materials are securely destroyed or returned to the client within the period stated in our Privacy Policy. We do not retain wallet files, phrase fragments, or key material after engagement ends. Financial records (invoices) are retained only as long as required by the tax laws of our operating jurisdiction.
If a case is declined at triage, the submitted information is deleted within the period stated in our Privacy Policy. We do not maintain a database of declined cases or use triage submissions for any purpose other than the initial assessment.
3. Our commitments
Two fees, and only two fees
Every engagement involves exactly two possible fees. The assessment fee is a flat charge, determined by case tier and disclosed before any work begins, that covers the technical examination of your material and the production of a written assessment report. The success fee is a percentage of the recovered wallet value, charged only if recovery succeeds, with the assessment fee credited against it.
There is no release fee. There is no gas fee. There is no tax payment. There is no unlock charge. There is no bond, insurance requirement, or processing fee. There is no circumstance in which KeyHaven will request a payment not described in those two categories. If you receive a request for any other payment from a party claiming to represent KeyHaven, that party is not KeyHaven. Do not pay them.
No guaranteed recovery
Recovery depends on what technical material exists and what can be inferred from partial information. We do not guarantee successful outcomes. After the assessment phase, we provide a written probability estimate based on the specific characteristics of your case. That estimate is our honest assessment, not a sales tool.
We will tell you clearly when we believe recovery is not feasible, and we will not proceed to a paid recovery attempt in cases where the technical analysis does not support a reasonable probability of success. Taking fees for work we do not believe will succeed is not how we operate.
Blockchain irreversibility
KeyHaven recovers access to wallets clients own. We do not recover funds that have been transferred to an address someone else controls. Confirmed blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible: no service provider, including KeyHaven, has any technical ability to reverse a confirmed transfer or retrieve funds from an address whose private key we do not hold. This is a fundamental property of public blockchain networks.
If you have lost funds to theft or an erroneous transfer, that is a different and harder problem. We will tell you honestly if your situation falls outside what we are able to address, rather than take a fee for a service we cannot provide.
4. Verify us independently
We actively encourage prospective clients to verify KeyHaven's identity before providing any information or paying any fee. The following checks are available to you:
Official contact channel
KeyHaven will only ever contact clients and prospective clients from [email protected]. We do not use Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Instagram, or any other messaging application for client communications. We do not initiate contact with potential clients through social media or in response to posts about wallet loss or theft.
If you receive a message claiming to be from KeyHaven through any channel other than that email address, treat it as a scam attempt. Do not respond, do not pay, and report it to us at the address above so we are aware of impersonation activity.
What to do if something feels wrong
If at any point during an engagement something does not match what is described on this page or in our Terms of Service, contact us directly at the email address above to verify before taking any action. Legitimate businesses welcome verification requests. A firm that resists them is a firm worth being suspicious of.
